What the program does
The Alloovium Site Assistant is a two-way conversational SMS assistant for registered users of the Alloovium construction-management platform (alloovium.com). Enrolled users can text our Alloovium business number to ask about their construction project (tasks, schedule, RFIs, site updates) and to set reminders or recurring routines. We reply with the answer, a confirmation, or a scheduled update.
Example messages you may receive
- •“Here are your overdue tasks: — Chase engineer for docs (due Mon). Reply STOP to opt out.”
- •“Routine set: every weekday 8am I’ll text the team for a progress update. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- •“RFI #128 from your subcontractor is awaiting your response. Reply here to draft an answer.”
Message frequency, rates & keywords
- •Message frequency varies based on your project activity and the routines you set up.
- •Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
- •Reply HELP at any time for help.
- •Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You will receive a single confirmation SMS and no further messages.
How users opt in (Call-to-Action)
There are two opt-in paths. Both require an explicit, affirmative action by the mobile subscriber before any SMS is sent.
1. In-app opt-in (account holders)
A signed-in user adds their mobile number inside the Alloovium web app — either in the “Verify your number” dialog shown at first sign-in, or later under Settings → Profile → Mobile number. In both surfaces the user must tick a consent checkbox before the Send code button becomes active. The checkbox reads:
“I agree to receive SMS from Alloovium about my construction projects, including task reminders, routine confirmations, site updates, and RFI notifications. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. I have read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.”
The user then proves possession of the number by entering a one-time 6-digit verification code we text them. No recurring SMS is sent to a number that has not completed both the consent checkbox and the verification code.
This is the exact opt-in screen shown in the app (identical consent language and layout):
Add your mobile number
Alloovium calls this number for your daily site walk and texts back your action items. We verify it once.

2. Text-us-first opt-in (inbound message)
A registered user may also start a conversation by texting our Alloovium business number first — the number is shown on their account’s Settings page inside the app. Their inbound message is their affirmative opt-in for the conversational reply and related service messages. Every reply path honours the STOP and HELP keywords listed below.
3. Invited team members (double opt-in)
Team members added to a project by a project owner are not enrolled in SMS automatically. The first time a project check-in would go to their number, we instead send a single one-time opt-in invitation:
“[Inviter name] added you to [Project name] on Alloovium. Reply YESto receive project SMS (tasks, routines, site updates). Msg freq varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
They are only enrolled once they reply YES — a standard double opt-in, enforced server-side: our messaging jobs will not send project content to an external number whose opt-in status is not confirmed. If they never reply, no project SMS is sent (at most one reminder invitation per 7 days, and only when a project lead requests an update from them). Team members who create their own Alloovium account instead opt in via the in-app consent checkbox described above; recurring SMS to account holders is server-gated on their verified, consented number.
Privacy of your mobile information
Alloovium does not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, opt-in information, or SMS consent with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used only to operate the messaging features of the Service, and is shared with our messaging provider (Twilio) solely to deliver your messages. This restriction applies to all categories of SMS content, including transactional, informational, and conversational messages.
Full details of how we handle your data are in our Privacy Policy (SMS & Text Messaging section).
